The full story
Meet Boltsy - made of spare parts, so nothing on him quite matches.
Boltsy was assembled rather than born, which explains the mismatched everything and the two bolts. About once a month he finds his own left hand in the fridge at 4 Hollow Lane and puts it back on without comment. The others stopped reacting long ago. He would like it noted that he never leaves it in there on purpose.
Bright green with dark hair, he is the friendliest looking monster at the address. In a holder he is a green button asking to be pressed, and on a keyboard he softens the whole board.
Why You'll Love Boltsy
- Built to be prodded: sit him in a holder and a real clicky switch takes the press, so the monster on your desk finally has a job.
- Not locked to our holders: MX-style cross stem, tested here on a Kailh Box switch.
- Monster enough, calm enough: soft green suits a desk in March as comfortably as it does in October.
- A gentler monster: the friendly face suits someone who wants a character without a skull in their eyeline.
- One resident or the whole house: he works on his own and has nine Hollow Lane neighbours waiting nearby.
What You Get
- 1 x Boltsy the Frankenstein 3D-printed keycap
The hand in the fridge is not a statement.
Note: a keycap on its own does not click. It needs a mechanical switch to press against, either in one of our keycap holders or in your own keyboard. Caps are roughly 19 x 19mm across and between 16 and 19mm tall depending on the character, with an MX-style cross stem. Check your switch type and key spacing before ordering if you plan to use one on a keyboard. The cap press-fits onto a compatible switch and is intentionally left unglued so it can be removed or swapped.
