The Wiggly Dumpling Guide: Steamed, Stacked, and Occasionally Clicky

A complete guide to our dumpling department - Momo and Bao in their steamers, the mystery blind-box buddies, the four BumBuns Clickies, and Dumpling Boo. None of them are edible.

At some point, without any formal decision being made, Wiggly Stuff acquired a dumpling department. It started with two little steamed buddies. Then the steamer baskets multiplied. Then some of the dumplings grew bums and learned to click. This is how these things go.

So here it is: the complete guide to our dumplings. None of them are edible. All of them are pleased to see you.

Momo and Bao, the Dumpling Buddies

Momo and Bao the dumpling buddies with their bamboo steamer baskets

The originals. Momo is the sweet little sitter with calm, snack-sized confidence. Bao is the peeker, forever popping out of the steamer like he has just remembered something important. Both come with their own bamboo-style steamer basket, so each buddy can sit tucked inside or perch beside it.

They are display buddies made for tiny food scenes - style them as a cosy pair, a mini yum cha spread, or two small characters holding a very important dumpling meeting on your shelf.

The Mystery Dumpling Buddy

Mystery dumpling buddies emerging from sealed steamer baskets

Same buddies, sealed steamer. You will not know whether Momo or Bao is inside - or what colour they arrive in - until you lift the lid. It might be yellow, green, blue, pink, a special gold, a rainbow, or another surprise finish from the batch.

The steamer doubles as the reveal moment and the display stand, which makes this one dangerously good as a small gift. Order two and let the recipients compare their luck.

The BumBuns Clickies

Then there are the BumBuns - tiny dumpling fidgets with round little bums, big cartoon faces, and a proper click when you press them. There are four to meet: Gyozi the calm blue gyoza dreamer, Mandu the cheeky green one, Shumi the sweet pink one, and Wonti the bright, click-happy yellow one.

Each has a keychain-ready attachment point, so they are built for bags, keys, lanyards, and desk breaks. Keyring not included; personality very much included.

The Mystery BumBun

Colourful BumBun clickers on steamer baskets - pink, gold, yellow, blue and green

The blind-box version. One surprise BumBun in one surprise colour, tucked under a little steamer lid. No choosing, no peeking, no negotiating with the dumpling. You might pull a familiar face, a mystery colour, a gold or rainbow, or the special alien dumpling that only exists in the mystery batch.

Collectors know exactly what to do with this information.

Dumpling Boo

Dumpling Boo Clicker - cream dumpling in a bamboo steamer basket

And the crossover member: Dumpling Boo belongs to our Boo Clicker crew, but its heart is pure dumpling - a soft cream body with a gyoza-pleat head, sitting snug in its own steamer with a keyboard-style switch underneath. It looks slightly worried about how delicious it appears, and honestly, fair.

Build the steamer stack

Every dumpling is made in our Melbourne workshop, and they are at their best in groups - steamer baskets stack, buddies peek, and a shelf corner quietly becomes a yum cha service. If your hands like the clicky ones, we wrote about why in Why Fidgeting Is Good For You.
