The full story
Meet Wispy - the housemate who has never once used a door.
Wispy goes through walls instead, which the rest of 4 Hollow Lane finds rude rather than impressive. He still knocks on the bathroom door out of habit, then forgets halfway through and comes in anyway. Soft beige, permanently a bit worried, and the palest face in the house.
Being a keycap gives him two lives. Sit him in one of our holders and he becomes a small desk button you can press all day. Push him onto a mechanical switch of your own and he takes over a key you actually use.
Why You'll Love It
- A small reward for a stuck moment: in a holder he sits over a real clicky switch, and pressing a ghost on the head is a good way to unstick a sentence.
- Or use your own switch: MX-style cross stem, tested here on a Kailh Box.
- Stands out on a dark desk: pale beige against black keycaps and dark timber, so he is easy to pick out without looking down.
- Costs less than a coffee: an easy add to any order, with nine housemates at the same address.
- Gifts without wrapping: small enough to drop into a stocking or tuck into a parcel as a bonus.
What You Get
- 1 x Wispy the Ghost 3D-printed keycap
Knocks first. Comes through the wall anyway.
Note: a keycap on its own does not click. It needs a mechanical switch to press against, either in one of our keycap holders or in your own keyboard. Caps are roughly 19 x 19mm across and between 16 and 19mm tall depending on the character, with an MX-style cross stem. Check your switch type and key spacing before ordering if you plan to use one on a keyboard.
Made to Swap
This keycap is designed to press-fit onto a compatible MX-style switch. We intentionally leave it unglued, so you can remove it and swap in another compatible keycap later.
