The full story
Meet Kernie - she was here before the house was, and she won't discuss it.
Every share house has one resident whose arrival nobody can date, and at 4 Hollow Lane it is Kernie. She was here before the walls were. There is a chair in the front room that only she sits in, and there was never a conversation about that either. Ask her directly and she changes the subject to the roster.
Orange, gold and white in clean bands, she is the sweetest looking one at the address and the least forthcoming. She brightens a dark holder, and the banding is the sort of detail that invites a closer look.
Why You'll Love Kernie
- Sweet on top, clicky underneath: in a holder there is a real mechanical switch sitting under all that candy stripe.
- Easy to recognise at a glance: the orange, gold and white bands make her unmistakably candy corn.
- Works beyond our holders: MX-style cross stem, tested on a Kailh Box switch.
- The one for people who hate spooky: an easy gift when skulls and monsters would be the wrong call.
- Brightens the whole display: her warm striped colours stand out among the darker Hollow Lane residents.
What You Get
- 1 x Kernie the Candy Corn 3D-printed keycap
Nobody sits in her chair. Nobody decided that.
Note: a keycap on its own does not click. It needs a mechanical switch to press against, either in one of our keycap holders or in your own keyboard. Caps are roughly 19 x 19mm across and between 16 and 19mm tall depending on the character, with an MX-style cross stem. Check your switch type and key spacing before ordering if you plan to use one on a keyboard. The cap press-fits onto a compatible switch and is intentionally left unglued so it can be removed or swapped.
