The full story
The little block that turns a keycap into a desk button.
On its own a keycap is just a shape. Push it onto this and it becomes something you can press: a real mechanical switch sits inside the base, so the cap goes down with a definite stop and springs straight back for the next one.
It takes any of the 4 Hollow Lane keycaps, and the standard MX keycaps you already own, so the spares from a keyboard build finally have somewhere to live.
Why You'll Love It
- Nothing to buy or solder: a Kailh Box clicky switch comes already fitted, so it works the moment you put a cap on it.
- A different face whenever you like: caps pull off and push on by hand, so one base can wear a new character each week.
- Puts your spare keycaps to work: standard MX mount, so leftovers from a keyboard build fit straight in.
- Low and flat on the desk: a wide, shallow base rather than a tall one, so it sits where you put it.
- The cheapest way to start: add one cap and you have a working desk fidget for under ten dollars.
