The full story
Meet Wrappy - forty minutes to get ready, and still first out the door.
Nobody at 4 Hollow Lane has worked out how Wrappy does it. Forty minutes in the bathroom, every single time, no exceptions, and yet she is always standing by the front door with her bag on before anybody else has found their keys. Grimsy has tried to build the timing into the roster and given up twice.
Wound in soft bone-coloured layers with two dark eyes peering out, she has more surface going on than anything else at the address. In a holder she is a small bandaged button that your fingertip keeps returning to.
Why You'll Love It
- Texture first, click second: the printed bandage ridges give your fingertip something to find, and in a holder a real clicky switch answers underneath.
- Fits MX-style switches: tested here on a Kailh Box.
- Goes with any desk: soft bone sits quietly beside both light and dark keycaps instead of fighting them.
- Spooky without being grim: a mummy reads as friendly in a way a skull does not, if that matters to the person receiving her.
- Small spend, easy add: under four dollars, with nine housemates to go looking for afterwards.
What You Get
- 1 x Wrappy the Mummy 3D-printed keycap
Forty minutes. Every time. Still first.
Note: a keycap on its own does not click. It needs a mechanical switch to press against, either in one of our keycap holders or in your own keyboard. Caps are roughly 19 x 19mm across and between 16 and 19mm tall depending on the character, with an MX-style cross stem. Check your switch type and key spacing before ordering if you plan to use one on a keyboard.
Made to Swap
This keycap is designed to press-fit onto a compatible MX-style switch. We intentionally leave it unglued, so you can remove it and swap in another compatible keycap later.
